HOPE
Tournament of Roses Parade
January 1st, 2020 Pasadena, California
When you are from Pasadena, New Years Day means more to you than other people. Pasadena is most famous because of The Rose Parade and The Rose Bowl, and maybe because of Cal Tech and JPL some too. The Rose Parade had occurred every New Years since the end of WW II until 2021 when the pandemic caused its cancellation.
On January 1st, 2020 most people were not thinking about the Covid-19 virus, and no one had any idea what was on the horizon for America or the world. That day was an exciting new decade, and the parade was a great way to welcome in both the new year and the new decade. The theme of the parade was even “The Power of Hope”. It is still incredible how quickly all our lives changed after such a good start.
