Since the Pandemic I have really concentrated on documenting Southern California. Part of it is because I have been limited in my ability to travel so this is where I am. I also think it is an important place to document right now and because of how eclectic and expansive the area is it really is hard to photograph. Some of the most important places I think that should be photographed are also some of the more dangerous areas, so I have used an approach to photograph while driving to allow a quick egress. I find myself focusing more and more on the decline of the quality of life here. It bothers me how crime and lower standards of living were tolerated for so long. I am not too optimistic about the quality of life in the immediate future.
