WESTWOOD
CALIFORNIA - JUNE 2nd, 2020
Westwood Village is on the border of the UCLA campus and has long been a place most everyone in Los Angeles has visited. The theatres are famous for holding movie premiers, the restaurants were good, and there was plenty of shopping.
The COVID shutdown obviously had a huge impact on Westwood, with several stores going out of business. Then the George Floyd protests, and looting, came to near by areas like Beverley Hills and whatever businesses had reopen in Westwood were boarded up. A once vibrant area was now a ghost town in early June.
